On Thursday evening 30 April, Pulse hosted the second Children’s and Family ministry leaders ALL IN Zoom gathering – an accessible space to connect with other leaders who share a passion for ministry with children and families across Uniting Churches. The once-per-school-term gathering has been growing since late 2025, and is at the stage of needing to form multiple groups from the burgeoning initial gathering. If we haven’t connected yet and you would like to, please email contact-pulse@nswact.uca.org.au to join the gathering email list for upcoming opportunities!
Each gathering leaders are invited to bring a resource or a live question to the conversation as a way of sharing wisdom across the group. At our last gathering leaders were invited to share a picture book that they’ve found helpful in ministry. The insights were appreciated and everyone left with more inspiration for their ministry spaces.
We’ve compiled our list below – I wonder what’s new to you and if they might be helpful in your ministry spaces? An easy way to check them out is via YouTube read aloud videos. Examples for each book are included below, where available.
