Acknowledgement of countryAcknowledgement of Country

We, Dapto Uniting Church, acknowledge the sovereign First Peoples who have been the traditional Custodians of the lands where we work and live, the Dharawal people of the Wadi Wadi Nation. We celebrate the diversity of Aboriginal peoples and their ongoing cultures and connections to the lands and waters of NSW.

We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have cared for this place from creation.

We advise this website may contain images, voices, or names of deceased persons in photographs, film, videos, audio recordings or historical content.

Dapto Uniting Church ... seeking to be recognised as followers of Jesus Christ working in and for the community.

Dapto Uniting Church is a warm, friendly, and welcoming church community and is located right in the heart of the Dapto CBD.

At Dapto Uniting Church, we believe that a healthy community is composed of people of all generations, cultures, and backgrounds interacting with one another in love and service. We look to be intergenerational and intercultural.

Our friendly, informal morning teas are served in a COVID-19 safe way after the Sunday morning service.

Our family-friendly services are friendly, varied, casual and Bible centred, with a blend of contemporary and traditional worship styles.

Special visual displays, video clips and drama items are sometimes used to communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ in creative and relevant ways. Our church seating is comfortable, and a hearing loop is installed.

A weekly Newsletter is produced to keep people in touch with coming events. If you wish to receive a copy by email, you can make a request to the Secretary on the form on our Contact page.

Keeping Healthy, Staying Safe and Looking after Each Other

As advised by the NSW Health Department: we ask that you do not attend religious services, weddings, funerals, or other gatherings in person if you are feeling unwell or think you may have any COVID-19 symptoms.

It’s the little things we do that will make a big difference and help keep us all COVID and flu safe, like:

  • Keeping up to date with our COVID-19 and flu vaccinations
  • Staying home if we’re feeling unwell
  • Wearing a mask in crowded places
  • Remaining 1.5 m physically distanced when gathering, as much as is practical.
  • Getting together where there’s plenty of fresh air.
  • Using contactless methods for offerings and donations whenever possible.
  • We request that all groups using the church premises clean the areas they use, especially after their activity is over, so that it is clean for the next group who comes in.

Thank you.
