Uniting Financial Services is seeking to appoint two new Non-Executive Directors as the organisation enters a new season of leadership succession and strategic growth.

One of Australia’s longest-standing ethical and ESG-focused financial institutions, Uniting Financial Services (UFS) manages funds across treasury, lending and investment operations while supporting the mission and ministries of the Uniting Church.

The organisation provides financial services and support across churches, schools, aged care, affordable housing, retirement living and broader community initiatives throughout New South Wales and the ACT.

UFS said the appointments come at an important time for the organisation as it continues to expand its lending, treasury and investment activities while maintaining strong governance and regulatory oversight.

Operating under APRA-aligned governance and risk standards, the organisation combines commercial financial management with a focus on long-term social and community impact.

The Board is seeking experienced leaders who can contribute to strategic oversight, governance, audit and risk management, lending and investment oversight, and organisational sustainability.

Directors will work closely with the Chair, Board and executive leadership team, helping guide the organisation through its next phase of growth and renewal.

UFS is particularly interested in candidates with senior executive, advisory or board experience in areas including banking and financial services, credit risk and lending, audit and compliance, legal and regulatory environments, responsible investment, corporate strategy, and cyber security governance.

Potential applicants may come from ASX-listed companies, banking institutions, professional services firms, investment management, legal advisory or other complex governance environments.

The organisation said successful candidates would bring strong strategic and commercial judgement alongside collaborative leadership skills and the ability to operate effectively within a purpose-driven environment.

An understanding of, or alignment with, the ethos and values of the Uniting Church in Australia will be highly regarded.
