Matthew 15:21-28: Jesus travelled into Gentile territory, crossing cultural hostility and stepping beyond the usual limits of his ministry. His encounter with the Canaanite woman reveals that faith often emerges from deep vulnerability. Though Jesus’ initial words sounded harsh, they exposed her desperate condition, and her persistent cry became an expression of true faith. Like Paul, who saw his suffering as a place where God’s power is revealed, this woman accepted her lowliness and trusted Jesus completely. The story teaches that faith is not abstract but lived in our struggles, where even the smallest crumb of God’s grace is more than enough.
